In the Valle d’Itria, the best experiences aren’t just hiking and guided tours but also tastings and cooking lessons featuring traditional Apulian dishes for guests staying at Puglia dei Trulli vacation homes, as well as those in the neighboring towns of Locorotondo, Martina Franca, or Alberobello.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed culinary experience immersed in nature, our cooking lesson on making Apulian frittelle and bombette, complete with a relaxation area, is the perfect choice for you.
This sensory journey lasts for 2 hours and requires a minimum of 2 participants and can accommodate up to 20 people.
Each guest will have their own workstation equipped with a wooden cutting board, bowls, and utensils needed for preparing the dough and fillings.
The cooking lesson begins with preparing the frittelle dough and the stuffing for the bombette using pork capocollo. After allowing the frittelle dough to rise, each participant can prepare their own bombette with their preferred ingredients.
Next, we move on to the actual preparation of the frittelle, shaping them as desired and frying them in oil. Once cooked, you can fill them to your liking with ricotta cheese, cured meats, tomatoes, cheeses, vegetables, and much more.
Finally, we’ll focus on grilling the bombette over the charcoal or, upon request, you can choose a vegetarian menu based on seasonal vegetables and produce.
The delicious freshly cooked delicacies will be served in a take-away carton, allowing you to enjoy them comfortably while seated at the picnic stations of Trulli Il Castagno, accompanied by your favorite bottle of wine.
As with our other cooking lessons and food and wine events, there are plenty of opportunities to socialize and enjoy the tranquility of the relaxation area while immersing yourself in the surrounding nature.
The breathtaking landscapes of the Valle d’Itria are perfect to admire while savoring the delicacies made with your own hands during the Apulian cooking lesson.
Furthermore, among the various gastronomic experiences available, you can also choose wine or olive oil tastings, vineyard snacks or dinners, or private use of the picnic area and barbecue to cook the bombette prepared during the cooking lesson, for example.
Upon request, we offer transfer services from the nearest train stations or your accommodation, allowing you to easily participate in our frittelle and bombette cooking lessons.
We are easily accessible from neighboring towns such as Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Ostuni, or Polignano.
