The picnic and barbecue near Alberobello last 2.5 hours and offer a tasting of selected wines, including whites and reds, accompanied by hot focaccia, stuffed frise, cold cuts, olives, and meat options or vegetarian variants upon request. The experience, at Trulli il Castagno, is for at least two people, with on-site parking and a transfer option at €15. Our dwellings are typical trullo structures, where couples, families and individuals can stay to experience the tranquillity and beauty of the countryside in the Itria Valley.

Among the many experiences and itineraries in the area that guests can choose from, even picnicking and barbecuing in the property’s garden can become a convivial moment of pure beauty.

In fact, the services available in our holiday homes include the opportunity to spend 2-3 hours immersed in the beauty and peace of the Apulian countryside, enjoying the view of the Itria Valley, both at lunch and dinner.

During the picnic with use of the barbecue, in the private space of the facility’s large garden, up to 5 groups can participate at the same time, each group from 2 up to 15 people.

Guests can enjoy the exclusive use of the private area, already equipped with wood and tools for lighting and cooking. Each private picnic area is set up in the middle of nature, in the vineyard or under a large walnut, strawberry or olive tree, or in the herb garden.

The seats and central support are made from vineyard pruning waste, then set up with tablecloths, cushions, napkins and glasses.

In addition, food already cooked by us can be provided, such as hot focaccia from the wood-fired oven, stuffed frise, cold meats and olives. On request, raw food such as sausage or ‘bombette’ is also provided, even in the form of a vegetarian variant, with seasonal vegetables, to be prepared at the barbecue in the picnic area.

For guests who do not know what typical Apulian food, such as bombette, is, it is possible to choose another wonderful food and wine experience, going to cooking lessons with Mamma Beatrice and Alessandro Spalluto.

The preparation of the picnic and barbecue is completely self-service, to make the experience more attractive, making it active and participative. The possibility of having a barbecue is a privileged opportunity, which many guests do not have at home, due to lack of time, and perhaps even space, to cook.

For every two people present at the picnic and barbecue, a bottle of our wine of your choice will be offered, together with glass wine glasses. A transfer service is also available on request from the nearest stations or from the accommodation where you are staying.
